Managing the keys for hundreds of lockers in fitness centres and gyms can be a real headache. Keys get lost, taken home or snap off in the lock. Someone then has to call out a locksmith to repair the cylinder which wastes time and money, and renders the locker unusable until it's fixed.
Read on to discover how triyoga provide their members with a tranquil environment without the inconvenience of carrying locker keys and coins.
Founded in 2000 by Jonathan Sattin, triyoga has become London's top destination for yoga, Pilates and treatments. With established centres in Camden, Chelsea, Covent Garden, Ealing and Soho, the latest addition in Shoreditch offers over 125 yoga, Pilates and barre classes per week.
For triyoga staff, managing locker keys had become problematic and extremely labour intensive. They also wanted to make their members experience the best it could be. This prompted them to search for a lock that looked modern, was simple to operate and secure.
Following a recommendation from a locker manufacturer, triyoga specified the KL1000 KitLock to the designers of the new Shoreditch centre, Aldworth James & Bond.
The KL1000 KitLock ticked all the boxes:
Using a four-digit code rather than a key to operate and secure the locker, means that triyoga members can simply enter a code, "lock and go". When it's time to leave, the customer enters their code again and the locker opens. The code is then automatically erased, leaving the locker free for the next member. Plus, the KitLock technician code is extremely useful if a member forgets their code, and at the end of the day when the staff need to check that all lockers are emptied.
James Cannon, facilities manager at triyoga commented on the KitLock and how it has transformed their business.
"We design our centres to be slick, beautiful and at the top of their game, whilst also offering comfort and convenience. The KitLock from Codelocks has allowed us to ensure that this aesthetic goes beyond the studios and treatment rooms and into the changing rooms, much more in keeping with the quality expected from our centres."
